Database Management

Database Trainings

We offer the following trainings in database

  • Oracle
  • Database Administration
  • DB2
  • SQL
  • PL/SQL
  • Sibel

Oracle

Oracle training equips students with installation, administration and troubleshooting skills for many Oracle products.

Oracle continues to be one of the most popular relational database management system (RDBMS) software programs in the IT industry today. It can be found on every version of UNIX, most versions of Windows, and many other platforms.

  • Oracle 11g SQL and PL/SQL
  • Oracle 11g Administration
  • Oracle 10g SQL and PL/SQL
  • Oracle 10g Administration

Database Administration

How does my bank keep my checking account information safe online? What does it take for me to have access to my order status 24 hours a day? Why do I see a correct balance when I check my credit card statement online?

Though answering these questions might sound difficult, the retort to all of them is the same: A database administrator somewhere has done his or her job. Because of their important roles tackling challenges like these and other critical functions, database administrators are among the tech elite in most organizations.

DB2

This course is a basic introduction to DB2, IBMs Relational Database Management System. It will present to the student a comprehensive overview of the DB2 Product. DB2 as a formal DBMS (Data Base Management System) is presented in a manner that will enhance the attendees utilisation and implementation of DB2. The course includes an introduction to DB2 and how it performs as both a formal DBMS and a Relational DBMS; as well as presenting the facilities that are included in the DB2 product.

After taking this course the student should be able to understand:

  • The objects that comprise a Relational Database.
  • The components that make up the DB2 Product.
  • The tabular format of data, and how these tables are related.
  • The DB2 Environment and its associated attachments.
  • The functions of the Structured Query Language (SQL)
  • Execution Environments

SQL

In a world driven by data, the ability to manage, index and retrieve the right data at the right time is a necessity. SQL, or Structured Query Language, is a robust and widely used system for relational database management that can search, filter, sort, and summarize data from an enormous number of tables.

Where to find training in SQL

Since it is such a popular language, SQL training can be found at a wide range of sources. Traditional universities often provide several levels of SQL training, from introductory to intermediate and beyond. Certain manufacturers and certification agencies also offer classes in SQL, Microsoft SQL Server, and its open-source rival MySQL (commercially supported by Oracle).

Some schools offer SQL courses in an exclusively online, self-paced format, which can be a great benefit to students with work or family responsibilities that prevent them from attending a brick-and-mortar campus full time.

PL/SQL

Oracle PlSQL Training course is designed for developers from basic PL/SQL and SQL language skills. Developing, executing, and managing PL\SQL stored program units are dealt with in detail. Participants can enhance their skills by gaining in-depth knowledge of PL\SQL stored program units such as procedures, functions, packages, and database triggers. Participants also learn to utilize some of the Oracle-supplied packages.
